Federation Park will be a hive of activity on Sunday as the Moira Shire once again hosts Rumble in the Gums.
All the old favourites are back, with skateboard sessions by OwnLife, live performances by local musicians including Delirious and inflatable laser tag.
This year there will also be market stalls with great food to keep up the energy levels.
Moira Shire Mayor Gary Cleveland is incredibly proud of how the event has grown in the past four years.
‘‘It’s for youth, run by youth, but also a great day out for the family and we haven’t forgotten little ones. There will be an animal petting farm and face painting to keep them entertained,’’ he said.
‘‘Rumble in the Gums started out as a small home-grown event with just a few local kids and each year the event just keeps evolving and getting better.
‘‘This year we received $2000 from the Victorian Government, which has helped us stage the event.
‘‘The youth of Moira should be incredibly proud of what they have created. It’s a fantastic day out.’’
Aaron Kelly of the Cobram Youth Foundation said it was great to again be involved in the event.
‘‘We have had a great partnership with the Moira Shire to enable us to run the event for the fourth year now,’’ he said.
‘‘It should be a great day for the whole family.’’
‘‘We are going to have face painting and a petting zoo, plus a lot more.’’
●Rumble in the Gums will be held on Sunday from 10am to 4pm at Federation Park, Cobram.
