The Barooga night football series is in full swing with teams already getting the benefit of playing real practice matches.
The first game of the series was played on Friday night with Strathmerton proving too good for Picola league rival Blighty, running out the winner 13.11(89) to 8.4(52).
On Monday, March 20 Tongala made the trip down the Murray Valley Hwy to take on Barooga.
Barooga was able to hold off the travelling side, winning 9.13(67) to 5.6(36).
Last night (Tuesday) saw King Valley travelling from the Ovens and King league to take on Katamatite.
