Season has started: Ben Hamilton’s Pulsar after round one of the Australian Pulsar Racing Association series.

The season has had a rocky start for local driver Ben Hamilton after the first round of the Australian Pulsar Racing Association series.

Round one took place last weekend at Winton Motor Raceway, with Hamilton saying he had hoped for a solid weekend heading in.

‘‘Unfortunately, my plans didn’t come off and I had a pretty slow start to the season,’’ Hamilton said.

He said issues with power and fuel were factors in his less than ideal start to the season.

After the first round, he is sitting sixth overall with round two to be held at Phillip Island in two months time.

Hamilton said a lot of thanks had to go to his sponsors to allow him to race.

‘‘Mustica Motors, Cobram Panel Works, Cobram Hire, Pat Barrett’s Tyre Service, Artavilla Emporium and Cobram Dry Cleaners have all been great to me. Hopefully I can go better in round two.’’
