Barooga cricketer Riley Gow is one step closer to representing Country NSW cricket after the announcement of state challenge squads.
Two country and two metropolitan teams have been chosen for the NSW Under-16 State Challenge, with Gow chosen in one of the country teams.
Players were selected following good performances in both the Bradman Cup and Green Shield under-16 competitions, which were completed over the Christmas break.
The teams will play each other — Country, Metro Thunder and Sixers teams — playing three one-day games at Raby Fields, Campbelltown, on April 9, 10 and 12.
On Tuesday, April 11, players will also be involved in seminars and lectures at Cricket NSW headquarters, looking into topics such as nutrition, welfare, organisation/time management between study and cricket commitments, as well as a tour of the Sydney Cricket Ground.
