Eat up: Tarkyn Hyde and Hugh Jamieson enjoy a couple of pancakes.

St Mary of the Angels Secondary College SRC students sold pancakes last Tuesday, which happened to be Shrove Tuesday, to help raise money for Project Compassion as the Lenten period begins.

While the VCAL students cooked and catered for the college, a group of students representing Caritas provided pancakes to the Nathalia community outside the local supermarket.

The event was well supported by the school’s students and the community with more than $360.60 being raised on the day.
