Cobram has seen some rather large tomatoes in recent weeks — now, it’s time for what are quite possibly the region’s smallest.
The bean yellow pear and reg fig varieties of tomatoes could be confused for grapes and the ones from the Anderson vegetable garden are quite miniature.
On a dare from her husband, Cobram’s Bev Anderson brought them into the Courier office for show and tell as the opposite of what has been featured recently.
‘‘He just didn’t believe I’d do it,’’ she said.
Mrs Anderson said they were grown for the first time in their garden this year.
‘‘I put them in just because I wanted some at the back door near the kitchen,’’ she said.
She said they tasted good.
‘‘I eat them nearly every day. They’re great just tossed through a salad.’’
