Trading bats for clubs

February 15, 2017

Ready to play: The weather did not look promising but plenty of players from around the MVCA turned up for a great day of golf.

Winning team: The Barooga team of Sam Leigh, Ryiaad Henry, Shane Healey and Will Power.

A day after competing against each other on the cricket pitch, players from all clubs of the Murray Valley Cricket Association came together for the annual golf day.

The annual MVCA Golf Classic was held at the Barooga Golf Club on Sunday, February 5 with most clubs and the umpires represented in 13 groups in all.

The weather was very kind to the players with the rain holding off until after the event and the course was in immaculate condition allowing cricket players to display their other sporting talents.

A great day was had by all and participants will be tuning their skills for next year’s challenge.
