●Division one: Tocumwal travelled to Deniliquin this week for round 17.
Tocumwal won the toss and elected to bat first.
It was a short batting innings with the visitors being bowled out in the 26th over for 83.
Best with the bat for Toc were Matt Burrowes 19, Darren White 15 and Lochie McDonald 11.
It was always going to be a hard target for the Bloods to defend.
They were on target early, but the Rhinos were too strong, batting out the 40 overs and ending their innings on 7/103.
Best bowlers for Toc were Dalton Perryman 3/14 off six, Lochie McDonald 2/19 off eight, and Scott Goven 2/15 off eight.
●Division two: Division two played host to Barooga. Barooga batted first and was bowled out in the 34th over for 167.
Best with the ball for Tocumwal were Paul Morgion 3/21 off seven, Dean Cole 2/31 off seven, and Dale Chandler 2/19 off 6.3.
Tocumwal then went into bat with Michael Roberts getting off to a great start top scoring for the Bloods with 31. Dale Chandler helped out with 14, while Perry Cole was the next top scorer on 7.
The Bloods were unable to pass the total set by Barooga, being bowled out in the 32nd over for 91.
●Under-14s: The junior Bloods celebrated another win this week with a narrow victory over Katunga.
Toc bowled last week, with Katunga setting a target after their innings of 105.
Best bowlers for Tocumwal were Harvey White 2/10 off five, Bailey Morton 2/14 off four and a wicket each to Connor Crowley, Raymond Sutton and Kalle Stewart.
The Bloods batted this week ending their innings narrowly ahead of the home side.
Best with the bat for Toc were Tom Barker 44 not out, Chase Hardwidge with 10 and Riley Bourne with 10.
The team is against ladder leader Cobram this week.
●Under-12s: The under-12s lined up for their new year opener against Katunga this week. Katunga batted first and made 139.
Best bowling for Toc went to Logan White with three wickets, Sami-J Campbell with two wickets, and one wicket each to Layne Haley, Jessica Bennett, Mak Eddie, Raymond Sutton and Hunter Hardwidge.
Toc ended the innings on 142.
●Division one: Strathmerton’s division one side thumped CYU on Saturday.
CYU batted first and posted 8/83 from its 40 overs with Lee Talbot grabbing three wickets and Danny Cleary getting two.
In reply, the Bulldogs posted a huge score of 7/341 with Brayden Coburn falling short of a century with 92 runs.
Danny Cleary (71) and Matt O’Kane (58) also posted good scores for the team.
●Division two: The news wasn’t as good for the division two side, as they were well beaten by the suddenly strong Jerilderie team.
Jerilderie posted a score of 7/216 before Strathy was bowled out for 29.
