Move and groove: Children get up to act out a story as part of Rhyme and Storytime at the new Cobram library.

Cobram Library’s popular Rhyme and Storytime sessions designed for young children will be expanded in the new library’s bright and spacious children’s area.

Previously offered on a monthly basis, Rhyme and Storytime sessions will now be held every Friday at 10.30am.

Library co-ordinator Judy Taylor said sessions ran for about 45 minutes and were open to everyone.

‘‘Rhyme and Storytime is one of the most enjoyable parts of my job, and these sessions are so important in contributing to early childhood literacy,’’ she said.

‘‘These sessions are suitable for children aged 2-6 years, and will be offered all year round.

‘‘I hope parents and carers will make our Rhyme and Storytime sessions part of their weekly routine.

‘‘We encourage everyone to come and have fun with songs, rhymes, stories and craft.’’
